Airframe & Powerplant Certification Prep

Airframe & Powerplant Certification Prep prepares students for the FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Mechanic certification exams. The three written exams, covering General Aviation, Airframe, and Powerplant, are scheduled during normal class hours. Once students have successfully completed these exams, they are prepared for the oral and practical exams, which are scheduled after the completion of the 80-hour program.

Prerequisites

FAA Form 8610-2 signed by a Aviation Safety Inspector or FAA-certificated Aviation Maintenance Technician School (AMTS) (147 School) Graduation Certificate or Joint Service Aviation Maintenance Technician Certification Council (JSAMTCC) Graduation Certificate

Airframe & Powerplant Certification Prep prepares students for the FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Mechanic certification exams. This is an intense program where students are required to attend classes during the day and study extensively each night. The three written exams, covering General Aviation, Airframe, and Powerplant, are scheduled during normal class hours. Once students have successfully completed these exams, they are prepared for the oral and practical exams, which are scheduled after the completion of the 80-hour program. Exam fees are not included in tuition. This course is approved for funding through AF COOL.
