The Water Systems Operation Specialist program is a two-year State of Delaware recognized registered apprenticeship which is designed to train participants to safely and effectively operate water systems throughout the state. Upon completion of the two years of related technical instruction and 4,000 hours of on-the-job learning, Registered Apprentices are eligible to earn a nationally recognized Journeyperson credential.
Wilmington University’s STEP PathTM is the Smart Transfer Enrollment Program to gain or complete a degree, no matter where you start with your apprenticeship. This unique pathway for journey people maximizes success and minimizes both the cost and time to degree completion.
An apprenticeship program works as a perfect stackable credential toward furthering your education. Journeypeople who complete a Department of Labor-registered apprenticeship and choose WilmU’s STEP PathTM can earn up to 42 academic credits* toward a WilmU degree program, including WilmU’s B.S. in Applied Business.
